Separating text within a cell
Is there a function opposite to concatenate that splits text in a cell?
I have a situation where I copy information from a website and it puts figures into one cell. I would then like to have a formula so that this information is automatically separated over 3 cells, ie data copied into one cell is 8X1 but I need it to be 8 X 1 in three different cells.
I have attached an example of what I'm trying to get at. I need the blank cells as well if there are less than 3 figures copied.
Can this be done automatically with a formula? Would save so much time as I currently now do it manually and I have hundreds to do each day!
I have tried multiple solutions for separating the first, middle, and last name on an excel document. I've tried text to columns, and certain functions with no avail. I'm curious though; the first name is the only one that will separate into multiple columns while the rest don't move. Any help is appreciated!
This is for work so the faster the help the sooner I can sleep.
I have £14.99 in one cell (A1) and I would like to separate the £ (A2), 14 (A3), .99(A4) into different cells. Is there a formula that will do this, I have a large list to do.
Hello everyone, as you can see in the picture;
it is possible to separate numbers from Column A into each column of B and C?
