Old DOS to Excel ?
I used the "dir" command in dos to list all the folders and file in that directory. However, I want to go into a folder called "A" in the directory
just listed. What is the command for this at the prompt?
I am attempting to save parts of an Excel file as a .csv(MS-DOS) format and it is deleting zeros in front of the data. I need the data in the format of "00##" to be able to upload this to our system.
I need to consolidate the records of several excel files (same format) into 1 excel file. I should be using a dos command script to achieve this. How is the dos command script syntax?
say I open an Excel v2007 file on our network that is read only and manually save it to my local drive (File/Save As) the read only status will be removed - however, if I copy -> move to folder using Explorer, it will retain the read-only status. Is there a way using a batch file in DOS or using VBA, that I can copy these read-only files to my local drive, C:\GSC\ folder, WITHOUT the read-only status ?
