Can we show a multi-select drop down list in validation?

Is there a way to show a multi-select drop down list in validation ?
I have some values in some named range say TEST and when the user sees the list, I want him to be able to select more than one from the list (Separated by comma perhaps ?)
So suppose there are values like a b c d e in the TEST range,
the user may select b,c,e (by holding down the ctrl key as usual for multi-selection)
Is this possible in excel ?
I tried using the drop down combo box, I could not find any property related to multi select.

=vlookup(cell_ref,choice of range from list, column_number)
to clarify, lets suppose I have 4 lookup ranges named, north, east, south, west.
I want to be able to use a dropdown list to select the lookup range, and then all the applicable lookup formulas will then use than lookup range.

I'm in the process of creating a spreadsheet containing many dropdown lists.
My need is to create a dropdown within the dropdown, based upon the entry chosen by the first drop down selection. Totally confused yet?
For example, if I select "Modem" from the first dropdown. I want to then be taken to another dropdown containing the names of all Modem Manufacturers from which the next selection would be made.

I have generated several dropdown list through data>validation.
Some of my coworkers need to select the appropriate selection. However, some indicated me that they prefer to use keyboard, such as using tab key, or arrow keys to select the item from dropdown list.
They indicated, currently, they end up trying to aim the mouse pointer to the dropdown arrow on the cell and they want to avoid this.
