Formula to Reference Tab Name
How can I reference a worksheet tab in a formula, so that it always refers to the previous tab in a workbook, such as a formula in Tab 3 needs info from the same cell in Tab 2 in order to keep track of balances. When I copy and paste the spreadsheets into a new worksheet it keeps the reference that was in the original worksheet.
I have a roughly 25 rows of formulas that I need to copy to a new tab that reference numbers within the same worksheet.
How do I get these newly copied formulas within the new tab to still reference all of the information in the original tab?
I would like to reference a cell in TAB A based on two criteria,
Named_Range_Date = A1
Named_Range_Hour = B3
I need to be able to copy this formula so that I can populate a new table,
I have a need to refer to the row number from a different tab.
Tab 2 cell A1 will be a variable reference (i.e. will change frequently) to a cell on a different tab.
I need cell B1 on Tab 2 to refer to cell A1 and pull the row number that cell A1 is pointing to on Tab 1
Cell A1 = Tab1!N35
I need Cell B1 (on Tab 2) to refer to Cell A1 on Tab 2 BUT return the row number that cell A1 is referring to on tab 1 - namely row 35
Can this be done through any formulas or combination of formulas? I tried but no success!
I need to delete some tabs from a worksheet which contain no data. However, numerous cells in my work paper link to these tabs. Although this does not result in any change in value, since the cells are blank, deleting the tab will result in #ref errors.
Is there a way to delete a tab and also remove all reference to said tab? The tabs serve no purpose and it is bothersome that removing them would result in a lot of wasted time removing the invalid references. Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated, thank you for your assistance.
